Hillbilly Slims is a wonderful place to stop & grab a bite to eat! They have fantastic fish, burgers, chicken, you name it! They also have lots of ice cream, sugar free cheesecake, & so much more. They are super kid friendly & interacted so well with my children. We will definitely be back!
Wife I decided to stop in and try it while driving in the Ozark’s, we are very glad we did. I had the pulled pork which was excellent!, my wife had the ribs and she says they are best she has ever had. The place was clean the staff friendly and the service excellent. The owner, Doc, was very friendly and explained had he came to open the place and his plans for a stage plus live music once we get past the virus. Doc even hooked us up with a free dessert after lunch (picture below). The menus is huge and has way more than just BBQ so it probably has something for everyone in your party, we will be back for sure.

Some of the best BBQ you can find within the Ozarks. Hillbilly Slim's is currently in the rebuilding stages after their fire that destroyed the original building, but have stayed open as much as they can between the days they been doing construction. Doc (the owner) has been going through tough times between the fire and a heart attack not long after the fire had happened, and just the stress of rebuilding his beloved restaurant. Hillbilly Slim's is located in the rural Ozark Mountains but you have so many outdoor actives just a few miles in any direction from this place, with hiking, camping, off-roading, mountain biking, swimming, and horseback riding, not to forget all the waterfalls within this area.
Great little restaurant where you wouldn't expect it. Not far from Falling water falls. I had the smoked meatloaf. It was delicious. The staff were friendly and fast. I definitely will be back.
